Are your children in that phase where it's tricky to persuade them to eat a good breakfast? Do they faff over a wheatabix? Procrastinate over porridge? In which case why not try them with a delicious smoothie? This is a great way of getting nutritional goodness into them & setting them up for the day. Ours regularly have smoothies & this is their latest creation. We like them to experiment with their own combinations. Vanilla Smoothie Ingredients 1 x banana 1 teaspoon of honey 1 desert spoon of good peanut butter (we use Whole Earth Foods or Meridian foods) 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla powder or 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract 4 ice cubes Cover with organic whole milk & blend until smooth and creamy. Tip - if the children are battling bugs, colds, sore throats we use an anti bacterial honey to boost. If making this for ourselves we use an unsweetened nut milk.
