Cacao-O-holic Smoothie


Need a chocolate fix? This is our go to recipe for over coming a sweet tooth, using the power of super-foods, without dairy or refined sugar. It’s gorgeous!

Ingredients
1 heaped tbsp raw cacao powder
2 Medjool dates – pitted (or 4 small dates)
1 tbsp of Almond Butter
3 ice cubes
½ frozen Banana
A splash of Vanilla extract
1 tsp Cinnamon (optional mood boost)
Cover with 200ml of unsweetened Almond milk.
 
Throw all the ingredients into the blender and blast for a minute or so until smooth.

Raw Cacao – in our eyes this is the UTLTIMATE ingredient!  Completely unrefined RAW cacao (chocolate) is incredibly rich in anti-oxidants, magnesium, iron & potassium.  Helps to guard against toxins, is a delicious mood booster and lifts your sense of well-being and on top of this it improves digestion, who’d have thought…
 
Dates – this goey, sweet dried fruit contains slow releasing sugars and is an excellent source of fibre, which is great for digestion. Full of minerals and surprisingly good for heart health.
