Here in our corner of the rolling Cheshire countryside, Clean Supper Club cannot believe what a glorious weekend we’ve enjoyed. The extended chilly grey spring months had meant we’d forgotten all the joys of warm weather, blue skies, swooping swifts and swallows and throwing off socks and shoes to draw fast intakes of breath whilst splashing in ponds and paddling pools! We’d rather like some more weekends like this please.
Our week in Breakfast has been a stunning collection of health boosting smoothies, smoothie bowls and our favourite coconut, chia & oat porridge. We do endeavour to make sure our smoothies have all round positive health benefits and generally they all aid good digestion. Sometimes we like to aim them at specific health requirements, this week was a good boost for bone health, by including ingredients like figs (dry & fresh), apples, leafy greens, seeds, nuts & dates.
Our Week in Breakfast
Our week in Food has a mix of sweet treats (meet the Clean Millionaire), a review of a selection of herbal teas, fun with sweet potato noodles, a vegan chilli, spelt spaghetti and a gorgeous orange & smoked mackerel salad. Oozing with health and vitality!
Our Week in Food
During the week we’ve been testing recipes for our upcoming shoot with Kilner & Mason Cash, the dessert is divine and there’s a delicious new bread recipe too that smells heavenly.
So as the orange ball of glowing sun sets on today (in which I, that’s Claire, would like it noted for the first time in 20 years I put on and thoroughly enjoyed a good roller blading session so thanks Millie, Scarlet and Daisy for sharing your 6th birthday party with the parents as well as your lovely friends!) and we hope to peep out of our bedroom windows, in the morning and find the sun brightly in the blue sky.
