Just a quick Clean Supper Club post tonight as I’m (Claire) a bit tired and tomorrow is the last day before the children return to school. We’ve had a gentle Sunday with friends tracking my husband as he cycles from Manchester to London in a day (with a group of equally crazy cyclists).
Been working on boosting our immune systems and revitalising our gut health this week and its been delicious!
Our Week in Breakfast
Have you tried introducing kefir to your smoothies or yogurts? Kefir full of good bacteria that will help feed your gut, for those of you whose bodies suit dairy it’s a brilliant introduction to boosting both gut health and immune system.
We’ve also introduced another fantastic breakfast bowl to our Clean Supper Club morning options with creamy, light quinoa porridge. Made with quinoa flakes, this makes the porridge less dense and grainy than using the full quinoa grain. It’s a great protein rich way to start your day. Try adding cacao & cinnamon or just vanilla, it really is worth experimenting with.
So what’s new with Clean Supper Club? From Tuesday this week (the 6th) you will find us at Altrincham Market with a weekly selection of smoothies, smoothie bowls and healthy snacks! We are really looking forward to sharing lots of delicious goodness with everyone.
There’s our back to school blog post on the snacks our children take to school. Do have a look, we don’t believe that the school provides snacks that are nutritionally appropriate for a child to eat every day. Which is why we thought this post might help you find a few new options for the start of term.
Right better keep my eye on where he’s up too, last tracked past Enfield…it will be a magnesium bath to aid recovery tomorrow when he gets home! Honestly if you’ve not tried a post intense exercise magnesium flakes bath you are missing out. It’s amazing.
