Our Week in Food & Super Powered Breakfast
(because that’s what the school holidays call for!)
CLEAN SUPPER CLUB

Hello Everyone!

Sarah and I are lucky enough to get to spend the whole of the summer holidays with our children, although if we are honest sometimes we’d like to hide!

This week Clean Supper Club has been having great fun!
Smoothie Workshops, national Milk Chocolate Day,
The British Transplant Games, Carfest North & packing...

Oscar & his amazing smoothie!

On Tuesday Clean Supper Club held our first Family Fun Summer Smoothie Workshop at Altrincham Market. It was great fun and there were some really creative young minds there that have since gone home to take over their parent’s blenders! Have a read of the blog post and come and join us at our next workshops on Tuesday the 16th and 30th of August between 11 & 12am at Altrincham Market.

OH YES!
Thursday was National Milk Chocolate day – we’ll any one who knows know that we don’t need any encouragement there! But as we favour a darker chocolate we made a chocolatey super shake smoothie that was seriously creamy, dairy was optional and it was all healthy!

Then on Friday we went to Liverpool to watch Sarah’s eldest Luca take part in the British Transplant Games. It’s an annual event and each team is from a different UK specialist transplant hospital.

If I’m honest my children and I walked into these enormous sports halls and were totally over whelmed. Imagine a large space fill it with happy, active, inspiring children and devoted families and then remind yourself that each child taking part in the games has had life saving transplant surgery. Go on try it. And whilst you’re at it (and if you haven’t already) go and register to be an organ donor.

Without an amazing organ donor and an incredible family for allowing the organ to be given to Luca. Luca wouldn’t be with us. Sarah wont easily tell you the hell they went through 7 years ago, but this country needs organ donors of all ages. No one wants to think about it ever happening. But it does everyday. So please please please it doesn’t take 2 minutes to register.

Saturday found us in the middle of the rolling Cheshire countryside at CarFest North – it is so much fun! A fantastic family weekend or day out, we all loved it! And watching 1000’s of people moving as the sun set to the invincible 64 year old Mr Motivator was fabulous. Oh and we are pretty certain the Corrs have been cryogenically frozen for the last 15 years (or locked in a yoga studio) either way they looked stunning and sounds great too. The evening finished with some very tired children and stacks of families jumping and down to a fantastic set by the Kaiser chiefs!

Then Sunday crazy packing up of the car to head to the South west for the week. So yes it is the first night of our holidays and I am sat here tapping away to you lovely lot! But it’s a ritual now and I’d miss it if I didn’t do it! (p.s. yes I packed my Nutribullet!)

Take care everyone and remember –
1. Go sign up to the organ donor register (PLEASE)
2. Check out our smoothie workshops
3. Follow our social media sites and nutty snapchat (cleansupperclub) posts to see what we are up to this summer.

Take care and stay healthy
