Smoothie the Rainbow
CLEAN SUPPER CLUB

Let Clean Supper Club and our super healthy foods kick off your day, boost your body and brighten your mood.

We’ve created a colourful range of all round delicious and health boosting smoothies for you to enjoy. So go on drink the rainbow!
 
NOTE: we’ve blended blue, indigo & violet into one smoothie – blue foods are rarely natural!

Kicking off the rainbow rays is a striking red mix of beetroot and berries.
 
RED
Beetroot & Berries

Ingredients
 
1 beetroot (wash don’t peel)
1 red apple
5 strawberries
1 frozen banana (fresh banana fine)
Juice of 1 lemon
1-2 tbsp of raw cacao powder
1 tbsp of chia seeds
For an extra boost we’ve included 1 tsp of maca powder
Cover with coconut water and blitz until smooth…

 
Benefits
Cleanse, improve digestion, more fibre, gut health, mood boost, glow, protein rich and lots of lovely vitamins.

ORANGE
Sunset

Ingredients
 
1 blood orange (peeled)
¼  cup of oats
4 strawberries
Juice of 1 lemon
1 good handful of goji berries
1 tsp of turmeric
1 tsp of coconut oil
Boost with 1 tbsp of chia seeds
Cover with coconut water & blitz until smooth…

 
Benefits
Immune boosting, vitamin C, anti-inflammatory, digestive health, fuller for longer, glow

YELLOW
Summer Vibes

Ingredients
 
1 small handful of almonds
(Depending on blender power -soak over night or use almond butter)
¼ cup of oats
1 frozen banana
Juice of ½ a lemon
1 tsp of turmeric
1 handful of mango (we use frozen)
1 tsp of coconut oil
Small chunk of ginger
(we buy fresh ginger then chop it into small chunks and store it in the freezer, for quick use, freezing ginger also makes it easier to grate into recipes)
Boost with 1 tbsp of milled flax seed.
Cover with coconut milk and blitz until smooth…

Digestion, anti inflammatory, vitamins, minerals

GREEN
Serene

Ingredients
 
1 green apple
8cm length of cucumber (more or less)
6 Brazil nuts
1 kiwi (peeled)
Juice of 1 lime
1 large handful of fresh spinach leaves
1 small chunk of ginger
Boost with a few fresh mint leaves.
Cover in coconut water or water and blitz until smooth.
 

We LOVE this flavour combination.
 
Benefits
Cleansing, refreshing, digestion boosting, alkaline, glow, protein boost

BLUE, INDIGO & VIOLET
Berry-tastic

Ingredients
 
1 small handful of blackberries
(Ours are frozen; last years hedge row stash still going)
1 small handful of blueberries
1 fig
1 tbsp of chia seeds
1 small handful of almonds
1 apple
Juice of 1 lemon
Small chunk of ginger
Cover with nut milk, coconut water or water & blitz until smooth…
Top with cacao nibs.

 
Benefits
Antioxidants, balance blood sugar, strong bones, vitamin boost, digestion.



As you know Clean Supper Club can't get enough smoothies!
We start our day the smoothie way and can frequently be found mid afternoon sipping away on a second.
They benefit our lives in so many ways, our families are total converts, once you get into the smoothie habit the days you don't have one you find you are craving them!
These recipes can easily be simplified, adapted to your tastes. A great rule of thumb for beginners to create a good flavour combination is to use lots of veg and fruit that are in the same colour range.
