Hello Everyone!
 
We had such a fun morning in the first Clean Supper Club Smoothie Workshop at Altrincham Market!
 
Such a lovely group of families joined us to taste test some surprising smoothie ingredients. The children (and adults) had an entertaining time guessing ingredients. There were some YUM faces and a couple of URGH faces but everyone has different tastes and the children are nothing if not honest! They were all brilliant and very willing to try all the interesting flavoured smoothies.

Thanks to our Clean Supper Club children - who were very excited to be taking part and went round all the market stall holders asking them what they’d most like whizzed into a smoothie! They’d helped us prepare by creating some fab smoothie fruit & veg character sheets for everyone to then colour and start to develop their own personal smoothie blends.  We loved the “Groovie Smoothie!” and we’ll keep working on getting polka dots mixed in!

The children (and adults) could choose from the huge selection of veg, fruits, nuts, seeds, oats, nut butters, herbs and milk options that we had taken. They were all encouraged to make sure there was at least one vegetable portion in their smoothie too - the raw sweet potato went down surprisingly well and everyone loved the variety of colours that were created.
 
We sent everyone off with small kits to create smoothie pops at home and hopefully with a more adventurous palette!

We can’t wait for the next Family Smoothie Workshops that will take place at Altrincham Market on Tuesday the 16th & 30th of August at 11am. We'd just like you to note that we are not selling equipment, we have blenders we use everyday,
that we'd be lost with out.
We are there to encourage and hopefully put a different perspective on eating your 7 a day. As one lady said, "it's good for the children to hear it from someone other than me!" It's worked for our children (and husbands). You will not be faced with 2 honed humans, we are Mums with curves and stretch marks ( well CIaire has those!)
