Overnight Bircher (aka overnight oats) Clean Supper Club
The overnight bircher is a great breakfast as it’s super easy to make. If your mornings are a blur of sorting yourself, the children, dog out and nagging for the 100th time for someone to please brush their teeth and put their shoes on? Then this may well be the breakfast for you!
In simple terms you place oats, cinnamon, almond milk, goji berries, fill jar, seal and put in fridge over night. Open in the morning and eat.
Since our switch to healthy eating we never skip breakfast because it’s too important. We’ve become used to not experiencing the 11 am & 3 pm drops in blood sugar and our need to snack on something really unhealthy. Our choices of breakfast stop these bad habits and sluggish feelings.
It’s ideal for eating on the go, if you are having an early start grabbing and taking to work or for filling up the children. There are lots of delicious and nutritious combinations and it’s perfect for early starts or for those of you who can’t face breakfast the moment you get up, because it travels well.
